Abstract In this paper, the simulation model of photovoltaic power generation system is established by PSCAD. The model is divided into three parts: the photovoltaic cells, maximum power tracking circuit and inverter. Finally, the grid-connected characteristics, the load disturbance characteristics, the input disturbance characteristics and the fault characteristics is simulated by the the simulation model.
