Abstract The paper discussed how wind speed influenced the output characteristic of wind turbine. For studied the rule of output by random wind. Took a 1.5MW wind turbine as a example. Based the turbine’s structure. The paper set up a simulation model. Choose two control tactics which called voltage control and reactive power control. The result shows that took reactive power control at normal operation, the turbine get a well performance. If fault happened, choose voltage control was reasonable. So it provide reference for turbine operation.
