Abstract In view of the problem that the fault detection function of fast bus communication in UHVDC transmission project is not perfect, base on HCM3000, by adding user fault detection protocol in the domain of user layer data and the underlying processing strategy, it realizes the analysis of the initial state, link fault alarm, fault recovery and anti shake function, message handshake and acknowledgement, user CRC fault handling and alarm functions. And it’s packaged in function block form to provide users with flexible configuration of the interface and the status and data output. The approach follows the design principles of reliability, ease of use, and flexibility. And the engineering application shows that the fault detection mechanism is perfect, efficient and fast.
