Abstract This paper expounds the important role of the rodent-proof baffle in substation, points out the problems existing in the common use of the rodent-proof baffle in substation, designs a new type of multi-functional rodent-proof baffle in substation. It can realize the dumping of the rodent-proof baffle in two directions after being subjected to force, at the same time gives a sound alarm, prompts the field personnel to reset the rodent-proof baffle.
