Research on thermal infrared detection and fault diagnosis of live equipment in power plant |

Abstract Infrared detection technology has significant advantages in detecting and diagnosing the defects of live equipment in power plants, which is of great significance to ensure the safe operation of power plants and even power grids. This paper analyzes the theoretical basis of infrared temperature measurement, fault types and hazards of live equipment, as well as the judgment method of infrared diagnosis technology and equipment fault grade, and discusses the application of infrared diagnosis technology in field condition maintenance cases. Finally, it points out the methods to improve the efficiency of infrared detection, and emphasizes the necessity of infrared detection technology to make a breakthrough in quantitative analysis.
