Abstract Model, logic for action, setting calculation of backup power automatic switching of main substations and 35kV substations by characteristics of 35kV power system of metro are analyzed. Problems in practice such as cooperation between backup power automatic switching of main substations and protective relaying for grounding transformer, backup power automatic switching of 35kV substations started by differential protection for lines and protection to busbar faults set for blocking backup power automatic switching, setting of delayed accelerated protection are analyzed, and related improvements are also provided to improve reliability of power system.
