Abstract Based on the grid system is often occurred in short-circuit faults of middle placed switch cabinet in recent years, this article analyses the typical types and causes of the faults, studies the existing protection scheme and its applicability of medium voltage bus, proposes a high-speed protection scheme of medium voltage bus based on selectivity and meets the needs of domestic reform of production field.
