Abstract Take VD4 vacuum circuit breaker as an example, this paper give a detailed analysis for burned closing coil of vacuum breaker, and have a research for prevention measures of burned closing coil, to prevent and reduce the occurrence of similar failures. The prevention measures have been implemented to transformer substations belong to Jining Power Supply Company, and analyze the achievement in the first year of implementation.
