Abstract In some special occasions, DC or AC 24V under-voltage releaser is used in circuit breaker. To trip the same circuit breaker (such as DW50 series), the electromagnet of the under-voltage releaser of lower working voltage must get increased of its magnet coil wire diameter because of the large working current and the debugging is also difficult. The paper proposes a general design of under-voltage releaser of low working voltage primarily based on booster principle and discusses several major problems such as booster circuit, voltage signal detection and single-chip microcomputer circuit. Finally it concluded by giving the actual effect of the new design which uses the same kind of electromagnet of DW50 under-voltage releaser.
