Abstract In this paper, transformer insulating oil and paper for the study, conducted under laboratory conditions hybrid accelerated aging experiments. In this thermal aging process of periodic sampling, the paper in oil extraction. Using Fourier transform infrared spectrometer scan the IR of the sample, and analyzed the spectrum, looking for the reasons for the changes of the absorption peaks with the aging time. Molecular changes in the functional group as a starting point to explain some changes during the aging test. Explored the process and mechanism about the oil-paper insulation aging from the micro-perspective.
