Abstract Power equipment maintenance planning has passed one hundred years, planning model is the main way to guide the production work of the power system in the long time. As the science technology of the electrical equipment to improve and the manufacturing process to enhance, the modern power, computer, sensor technology is developed very rapidly. The state overhaul will become the main alternative plan maintenance step by step electric power production maintenance mode, the mode will be form a more scientific and more accurate way. The paper introduced the inner mongolia electric power state overhaul of main substation methods, problems and development direction.
