Abstract:The technology for regenerative braking energy recovery in urban rail transit trains has garnered significant attention within the industry. However, the start and stop values for medium voltage energy feeders have traditionally been based on empirical values provided by equipment manufacturers. To establish optimal start and stop values for medium voltage energy feeders, this study adopts an operational perspective. Through analysis of DC bus voltage data and validation using train station entry/exit voltage measurements, a more rational threshold for medium voltage energy feeders is identified. This value effectively reduces unnecessary energy consumption and extends the equipment’s service life.
