Research on key manufacturing process of water-cooled stator coils for the 530 MW renovation generator of Panshan power plant

Abstract:In order to ensure the manufacturing quality of the stator coils of the 530 MW Russian- made unit renovation project of Panshan power plant, this paper analyzes the key manufacturing technology for the stator coils and proposes technical measures to solve the problems. This article adopts technical measures form the control technology of multi-structure coil end shape and the optimization of the main insulation pressing process, such as the establishment of a control system for the shape of the stator coil end, the modular design and manufacturing of the hot press molding, the optimization of the coil cooling anti-deformation device, the optimization of the anti-glue flow process during the pressing of the stator coil straight section, and the optimization of the coil surface treatment process, which solve technical problems of large geometric dimensional deviation at the end of the stator coil and insulation cavitation during the pressing of the main insulation. A high-precision manufacturing system suitable for large water-cooled stator coils is established, which provides an important technical reference for the renovation of similar large generators. The research results shows that the initial value of the dielectric loss factor of the stator coils of the Panshan renovation generator is less than 1%, the increment of the dielectric loss factor is less than 0.5%, and the breakdown voltage is greater than 110 kV (5.5 times the rated voltage). The electrical properties of the stator coils satisfy the industry standards requirements.
