Abstract:As thermal power units evolve toward higher parameters and larger capacities, the manufacturing quality of stator bars is critically important. As a core generator component, the stator conductor forms the bar's structural backbone. Its geometric precision determines the final shape of the insulation layer and directly impacts the insulation margin. Traditional manual forming methods often caused profile deviations and inconsistent results. To solve this, a dedicated computer numerical control (CNC) stator bar forming machine, which is the TBFM 13000 2H is introduced. Through detailed study of the machine's design and operating principles, this paper successfully converts the bar parameters and completes the forming trials. This significantly improves the overall forming quality, consistency, and production efficiency. This machine is widely used in manufacturing stator bars for water-cooled units, air-cooled units, and large lap-wound hydro-generators. This work provides a valuable reference for adopting CNC forming technology and advancing automation in stator bar production.
