Design of zero-crossing detection circuit for low cost and high stability low voltage power line carrier communication |

Abstract An AC zero crossing detection circuit for zero crossing communication of power line carrier is proposed. The circuit outputs zero crossing signal through RC power supply, voltage stabilizing, energy storage, voltage dividing, Darlington driving and isolation. By Multisim simulation of the circuit, the simulation results show that the proposed zero detection circuit can effectively detect the alternating current zero crossing, and the circuit has advantages of low production cost, occupied small PCB area, short detection time difference, prevent interference about power surge voltage and surge current. It has been widely used in zero crossing communication of power line carrier.
