Abstract In this paper, according to the present situation of gen-transformer unit protection configuration on gas-turbine power plant in China, combined with DL/T 1505—2016 General Specifications for Large Capacity Gas-Turbine Generator Protection Equipment, key technologies such as stator grounding protection, stator inter-turn protection, load commutated inverter (LCI) DC grounding protection, and main transformer differential protection and frequency conversion algorithm of gas turbine generator are studied, thus guaranteeing the safe and steady operation of gas-turbine power plant, standardizing the configuration of protection standard and guiding the technical upgrade.
