Abstract This paper introduces a set of ideas and methods of building an operation mode verification system for transmission network based on dynamic modeling technology, which aims to provide a set of intelligent verification tools for transmission network designers of power enterprises. With the help of dynamic simulation modeling, automatic verification and auxiliary decision-making provided by these tools, the designers can achieve rapid verification on operation mode of real-time network or reconstruction and expansion plans that are being designed after one or more rounds of verification and optimization iterations. It has been proved that these methods can significantly improve the scientificity, accuracy and economy of transmission network design and reduce design risks so as to improve the efficiency of power grid investment.
