| Research on Internet of Things-enabled intelligent control technology for secondary operation safety measures in substations |

Abstract For the purpose of improving the reliability of secondary operation security measures, this paper proposes a three-layer architecture of “perception-collection-application”, develops four types of Internet of Things (IoT) intelligent security measures tools, selects multi-mode anti-interference gateways, and constructs a full-process control platform for security measures. The engineering practice of a 220 kV substation shows that the arrangement time of safety measures is shortened by 45.2%, the misoperation rate is reduced to 0, and the leakage recovery rate is eliminated by 100% closed-loop. The new secondary operation safety measure technology realizes the transformation of safety measure execution from “passive protection” to “active early warning” and management from “post-event verification” to “process interruption”, which significantly improves the intrinsic safety level and operation and maintenance efficiency of secondary operation, and has important engineering application value.
