Abstract：Unified Power Quality Conditioner (UPQC) is a kind of power quality improvement equipment .It can suppress the voltage and current disturbance at the same time or separately to keep the grid’s stability. This paper proposes a novel configuration of UPQC based on back to back H bridge module without series injection transformers. It can be connected to the series voltage level of distribution system by increasing the number of H-bridge modules flexibly. The operation of this proposed system was analyzed through PSCAD/EMTDC.Its result verified the controller designed for this UPQC.
