Abstract：Substation maintenance personnel often need to be removed the fan from the heat sink when overhaul transformer cooler fan. When dismantling the cooler fan had needed more staff and heavy workload, low efficiency, maintenance personnel can easily lead to sprains, bruised and other personal injury in the process of fans disassembly and handling, as the cooler fan weighs more than 75kg and the working space is very narrow at the installation location. This paper designs a special tool that disassembly the transformer cooler fan, and explains how it works. This tool allows the maintenance personals to reduce the workload, improve work efficiency and ensure personal safety also.
