Abstract：This paper introduces a typical abnormal accident of grounding fault of DC insulation monitoring device based on the balance bridge principle, and makes a careful analysis of the cause of DC system grounding fault alarm. The main contents including fault process, inspection situation, test process and cause analysis are introduced in detail. The problems exposed by insulation monitoring device based on the balance bridge principle are pointed out, which provides reference experience and methods for handling similar accidents.
