Abstract:Due to poor insulation materials, excessive contact resistance or poor manufacturing process, the power cable connector will cause the joint temperature to be too high, resulting in insulation breakdown or even breakdown at the cable joint. Therefore, monitoring the operating status of power cable joints on a temperature scale is of great significance for effectively preventing accidents. This paper summarizes several existing cable joint temperature measurement methods, and summarizes the principle, advantages and disadvantages of each temperature measurement method. Finally, look forward to the development direction of cable joint temperature monitoring.
