Abstract:In order to prevent the generator from abnormal shutdown due to the excessive depth of leading phase operation, this paper presents a coordination check method of low excitation limit with field loss protection and leading phase test for turbo-generator. The coordination relationship between low excitation limit and field loss protection is analyzed. Then, according to the excitation parameters, the setting value of field loss protection and the leading phase test results of the generator unit, the GE EX2100 excitation regulator is checked that its low excitation limit value matches with the generator field loss protection and leading phase test results, and the adjustment method is given for the low excitation limit parameters which do not meet the matching relationship. The method is simple and easy to implement, and its effectiveness is verified by the check results of field examples.
