Abstract：Power load computation is the important basis of conductor and electrical equipment according to the current-carrying capacity. The paper based on 《Handbook of industrial and civil power distribution design(3rd Ed)》 and current engineering design situations, presents and analyses some existing problems about demand factor and utilization factor in power load calculation. In the end, the paper summarizes some important calculation aspects that needed to care, compared the two algorithms, and gives the proposal scheme.
