Abstract This paper analyses the disadvantage of the traditional air-cooled control system based on the electromagnets and PLC, and presents a new intelligent air-cooled control device which meets the demand of digital substation. It introduces the power switch, control theory of cooler group, protection and on-line monitoring functions in detail.
