Abstract Cigarette filter tip cigarette production process in its shape and size will directly affect the quality and efficiency of cigarette production, therefore the production of cigarette filter stick is qualified modern cigarette required. The online detection filter rod quality system is adopted to detect circumferential pressure filter, not the way to quantify adjustment, poor visual, inconvenient operation; this paper presents a through the photoelectric image processing to detect cigarette filter rod end, software analysis and recognition of filter rod circumference, real time processing output control signals to the field production equipment, in order to ensure the quality of cigarette filter stick, enhance the quality of cigarette production.
