Abstract For the actuality of online monitoring data can only be viewed in the substation and it is difficult to comprehensive analyze and professional study for substation equipment operating conditions, trends and potential problems in a wider range, this paper proposes a design scheme of Condition Acquisition Controller (CAC) which receives online monitoring data in substation based on IEC61850 standard communication protocol and exchanges data with Condition Acquisition Gateway (CAG) by I2 protocol. This paper describes the hardware and software environment of CAC and the function of CAC, including receive online monitoring data, data processing, data upload, master station control, and also discusses the technology selection and the function of Web display module. The device could reliably receive and upload online monitoring data in substation and provide important data protection for the realization about information, automation of smart grid.
