Abstract This paper proposes an intelligent centralized protection mode based on the new platform of microgrid protection system design. The hardware device of the FREESCALE platform with POWERPC high performance P2020 as the core, a data bus by FPGA and MLVDS chips, the data will be collected for analysis and processing. Based on the platform of the system design has quick speed, high reliability and redundancy fault ability etc, the software adopts object-oriented modular design, based on real-time multitasking operating system, can meet various functional requirements of microgrid protection device, has good prospects for application.
