The Application of Selective Compensation Test Method in Tower Grounding Resistance Measurement |

Abstract Now people usually use three electrodes method and clamp tester method to measure tower grounding resistance in domestic. But it has a great difference between the date of measured and the real lighting withstand level of tower in operation. This paper analyzes the problem in the conventional methods, also checkouts the effect of selective compensation test method by comparing the test results of 220kV tower and the real lighting withstand level of the tower in operation. And putting forward better solutions for the problem in tower grounding resistance measurement in grass-roots unit.
