Abstract Mainly studied the steel arc furnace such as power quality problems caused by the nonlinear load at runtime, and introduces the TCR+FC type SVC static reactive power compensation device application results in solving such problems. Analyzed the working principle of SVC static reactive compensation device, detailed introduces the function of the main components; Finally through the SVC static reactive compensation device in a reliable operation in steel engineering example, prove the SVC static reactive power compensation device by regulating function enough to improve power quality.
