Overvoltage Online Monitoring for 35kV Substation and Its Waveforms Analysis |

Abstract Due to the fact that fault record device with low sampling frequency could not record transient overvoltage, an online overvoltage monitoring system with high sampling frequency is designed. In order to solve the contradiction between sampling frequency and storage depth, varied sampling frequency is applied to the system. The monitoring system has been running in several substations. Overvoltage data recorded by the system has helped operating personnel to analysis fault, in addition, it will provide information for insulation coordination and overvoltage prevention.
