Abstract Remote oversea offshore oil and gas field surface engineering facilities and onshore platform are normally powered by self-powered station using the natural gas, associated gas or crude oil, etc. and combined with relevant power transmission & distribution system to fuifill the power demand for production and living. This paper summarizes the key technical design points for oil & gas field independent power system integrated with the requirements of china and oversea standards, technical sepcifications. These key technical design points include load calculation, self-powered station selection and design, emergency power system design, system neutral grounding design, etc.
