Cause analysis of a rotor grounding fault of a gas turbine generator |

Abstract This paper introduces the unstable grounding fault of the rotor of a gas turbine generator in a power generation company when it is disconnected to low speed. According to the fault characteristics, the rotor repeated pulse method (RSO) test is used to determine the grounding and interturn short circuits inside the rotor. On this basis, the rotor solution is examined and the exposure can be caused. Failure causes of rotor unstable grounding and inter turn short circuit are analyzed, and preventive measures are put forward at last.
