Abstract GIS equipment structure is complex and unforeseen mechanical failure during long-term operation. Therefore, the switching indication state of the switch contact does not match the actual split state of the contact. Or the case where the fit is not in place. Eventually led to the failure of the high-voltage interlock mechanism. If you operate GIS in this state will produce high voltage switch operation accident. In order to be able to directly monitor the switching state of the switch, avoid the occurrence of high voltage switch operation accidents. This paper proposes a GIS contact position monitoring system based on image recognition technology.
