Abstract Equipment decommissioning and disposal is an important part of real assets management of the electric power enterprise, which is of great significance to the whole life cycle management of power grid assets. This paper analyzes and expounds the problems existing in the process of equipment decommissioning and disposal management in power grid enterprises, introduces an optimization system for the whole process of physical assets decommissioning disposal based on physical ID and ERP、PMS system. It makes use of the feature that physical ID runs through the whole life cycle of equipment to realize the online tracking, control and display of the whole process of equipment decommissioning and disposal as well as the electronic storage of archives, to ensure the information flow, business flow, value stream “third-rate unity” and improve the system data accuracy and precision of physical assets and retired new management level. The design and development of the system is based on management practice. The application results of the system in power grid enterprises verify the feasibility and effectiveness of the design ideas.
