Abstract The paper describes the research and manufacture progress of a special system for the high voltage disconnector,which based on plinth method that proposed in this paper, and a location installation system have been manufactured at last. The experimental results demonstrate that plinth method is feasible. With the system, the worker could overcome the problem for mechanism accurate location during disconnector installation and enhance work efficiency and safety level at the same time.
