Abstract With the popularization of intelligent substation, fiber replacing the traditional cable , which using network communication to realize the mutual interaction between physical equipments, some of the traditional overhaul methods are outdated. In order to improve the reliability of the relay protection relevant secondary circuit and the efficiency of operation and maintenance personnel, a new method of the fault locating which is based on the data analyzing of online state detection is presented. Based on the monitorning and analysis of the SV/GOOSE/MMS message, operation and maintenance personnel can quickly locate the fault position in secondary circuit and quickly eliminating fault and improving their working efficiency.
