Abstract In order to solve the problem of high soil resistivity in mountain pole tower, the application of flexible graphite cable in the grounding of mountain line tower is presented. Considered the characteristics of graphite-based flexible earthing raw materials, the grounding conditions of grounding appearance, size and tolerance, graphite-coated metal wire, electrical properties and mechanical properties are analyzed. In practical cases, the application research of flexible graphite cable in grounding is verified, and the effective control of grounding resistance is of practical value within the scope of regulations.
