Modeling and Simulation of Over-voltage Restrain though Long Transmission Cable Drive Based on PSIM

Abstract  PWM voltage by inverter output would be almost double though long transmission cable, leading the value of du/dt large, resulting in a heavy stress and damage on motor. In this paper, on the basis of analyzing over-voltage theory and its influence, the system simulation model was established in PSIM9.0 and restraining filters were designed to decrease over-voltage of motor terminal. The accuracy of the established model were proved. Then the validity of the designed filter were proved and the model offered a new throughway for designing and debugging actual motors.
