Abstract Arc was generated to cause the dielectric oil polluted in the process of on-load voltage regulation which using traditional mechanical on-load tap-changer. A new scheme of arcless on load voltage regulation is needed to be developed to solve the above problems. In this paper, a new scheme of arcless on load voltage regulation is put forward based on the relative technology experiences. The regulating process of the new solution was introduced, and the PSCAD simulation model was established to give the waveform. The Regulating process of the new scheme of arcless on load voltage regulation is arcless and reliable by theoretical and data analysis.
