Abstract  The fan adopting frequency conversion control technology is an important measure to achieve energy saving operation, this technology has been highly valued by the government. From the frequency conversion transformation plan and the operation effect, this paper introduced the application of this technology in the retrofit of the boiler induced draft fan in a thermal power plant, and made a concrete analysis on the actual energy saving effect. From the analysis results, it can be known that the power consumption of the induced draft fan is obviously reduced, and the energy saving effect is remarkable.
