Abstract The traditional distribution network management mode does not meet the development needs of the new era, so it is urgent to apply advanced technologies such as "cloud, big things and intelligence", deepen the standardization construction in essence, strengthen the lean operation and maintenance, improve the intelligence level, and realize the leap forward development. In 2019, State Grid Corporation of China put forward the strategic goal of building a world-class energy internet enterprise with "three types and two networks". The distribution internet of things is an important part of State Grid Corporation of China to achieve the strategic goal of "three types and two networks". Based on the distribution internet of things system structure of "cloud management side", it integrates advanced information technology such as "big cloud and moving intelligence" to develop the internet of things of medium and low voltage distribution network construction. It can significantly improve the operation and maintenance management level and power supply service level.
