Abstract Transformers are the basis of distribution network control and protection. Under harmonic conditions, their measurement accuracy will directly affect the safe and stable operation of the power grid. In this paper, the main electromagnetic transformers in the current low-voltage distribution network-electromagnetic voltage transformers and electromagnetic current transformers-are modeled and analyzed. On the basis of their harmonic transfer characteristics, the influence of different frequency harmonic conditions on the measurement error of electromagnetic transformers is analyzed. The influence of the measurement error of the built-in transformer is verified by simulation in Matlab. The conclusions obtained provide a reference for the application of the electromagnetic transformer under harmonic conditions.
