Abstract:The dielectric loss factor (tan δ) test is an effective way to find bushing insulation defect, in the transformer preventive test. Many factors can cause abnormal results of dielectric loss measurement, but easy to overlook the influence of the Garton effect on the dielectric loss measurement. Firstly, Based on the theory of dielectric loss measurement, Garton effect and the mechanism are introduced, and then take a transformer bushing dielectric loss test for example to analysis and summary, providing theory evidence for future test analysis.
