Abstract：In order to improve the operation reliability of the high power medium voltage DC load, the optimization design scheme of medium voltage DC load is put forward on the basis of the existing technical conditions of medium voltage DC load. The system structure of medium voltage DC power generation system is introduced, and the system composition of medium voltage DC load is given. Aiming at the existing problems of medium voltage DC load, the optimization design ideas and implementation methods are put forward in the aspects of equipment selection, on-line insulation monitoring, fault diagnosis and so on. After optimization design, the reliability and maintainability of the medium voltage DC load is further improved and enhanced, which has the outstanding characteristics of simple equipment and reliable operation, making it has great value in engineering application.
