Abstract With the further construction of smart grid, the communication of information technology combines with the side of grid more closely. As an important link between power user side and electric energy data application side, electric energy information acquisition system is an important part of advanced measurement system. EPON technology has been in the promotion and application of the field. From the design and construction of power information acquisition system point of view, this article analyzes the structure and characteristics of the existing data acquisition system, introduces the advantage of EPON technology in electric power communication, puts forward several fusion into EPON technology which adapting to the electric energy information acquisition system scheme, and analyzes some of the technical problems may occur in the process of construction, in order to provide some reference for the existing acquisition system maintenance and improvement work.
