Reform in electronic technology course design under the background of emerging communication techniques

Abstract:Electronic technology course design plays a vital role as a practical component in undergraduate engineering education, serving as a bridge between theoretical instruction and real-world engineering applications. However, with the rapid advancement of emerging communication techniques, traditional course design models face challenges such as outdated content, lack of project diversity, and insufficient practical depth. Based on the author’s teaching experience, this paper proposes a comprehensive reform framework that incorporates project-based learning, task-driven instruction, industry-academia collaboration, and integration of competition and training. Centered on real-world applications in emerging communication techniques, the reform aims to restructure teaching content, innovate instructional strategies, and optimize resource integration. The results indicate significant improvements in students’ system design capabilities, problem-solving skills, and overall engineering competence. This reform exploration results indicate that the proposed scheme demonstrates a degree of effectiveness in enhancing students’ integrated competence and practical training, and may serve as the reference for engineering education reform practices.
