Design for Incremental Encoder Interface Circuit Based on FPGA

Abstract:Field-Programmable Gate Array(FPGA)has developped rapidlly in recent years. According to the advantages of FPGA which has rich resources and flexible structure, incremental eneoder interface circuit based on FPGA is designed in this paper and realizes the functions of frequency multiplication, phase discrimination and number counting of incremental eneoder pulse signal. Finally simulation results show the feasibility of the design, which provides the basis to high-precision position servo control.
