Abstract：This paper analyzes the important role of network message analysis system used in smart substation, given the messages recorder and analyzer system configuration and networking solutions of smart substation in which stage the most important relay protection functions are implemented using "direct connection SV and direct trip GOOSE" mode, taking into account the two difficulties: high-precision data synchronization and massive data processing and storage, the adaptive data synchronization based on clock source technology and massive data storage based on hard disk cluster technology are researched．
