Abstract：In order to promote the product quality and installation process of medium voltage XLPE（Cross Linked Polyethylene） cable accessories, we gave a brief introduction of the current domestic manufacture and application status of heat shrinkable accessories, and the material mechanism, structural characteristics and basic requirements of medium voltage XLPE cable heat shrinkable accessories were elaborated. We also analyzed the principle of stress control tube improving electric field distribution at cable shielding fracture and its parameter control method, and then gave a list of type test items of these products. It’s concluded that we should pay great attention to the manufacturing process of heat shrinkable accessories, as well as installing environmental conditions and operating key points.
